POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT FOR GOOD BIRD
Hi Barbara I would like to tell you that you are a great inspiration
to parrot owners and animal trainers alike. I have been a bird trainer for the past four years and I am in 'a relation- ship' with five beautiful parrots at home.Your advice and training techniques have really helped both me and my birds.
Some day I hope to create a better understanding of par-
rot behavior for the general public, and help better the lives ofmany companion parrots inmy area thanks to you.

screaming Umbrella cockatoo and I did EXACTLY what you say in your article on screaming and I'm happy to re- port my cockatoo now says "Hi" instead of screaming when I walk in or have company. Took about two months, but it worked (and he has screamed for seven years). I love the "mantra" and hung in there. Whew.... what a process though!

Hello, I want to thank you for all you do and that you share
your knowledge and expertise. I use your training every- day when I work with the "bad" parrots people give up. Re-training parrots that people have taught bad habits is hard, but with your help I feel I am able to help these beautiful creatures become the wonderful pets they should and can be.
